The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on April 26, 2008 at 6:50 PM

KYC Commodore, Ed Zehr:
Welcomed new members and guests.

Yeoman, Shaunna Fleming (absent):
Reading of minutes of February meeting was waived. They are available online. (There was no March meeting)

Vice Commodore, Monte Junker:
We have 60 members. We need more.

Purser, Nina Burnham (absent):
$8,978 in bank account. We'll starting paying a montly electric bill of $155 per month beginning May 4th.

Quartermaster, Jim Stepchew:
Members are reminded to come on down Thursday for happy hour beginning at 5:30.

Ship's Store Report, Richard Russell:
Still looking for design ideas for shirts, koozies and the like.
We got a nasty gram for using the Post Office. We must find a new way to ship KYC things.

Race Co-Chairs, Ed Zehr/Mike Turner:
Great race last month. Next race Sunday, May 4th, with a skipper's meeting at the SBM at 1 P.M.
The Saturday evening race season starts with a race on May 17th.

Cruise Chairman of the Month, ?:


Sunfish King, Tim Hall (absent):
Sunfish regatta set for June 8.

Webmaster, Trace Fleming:
Can't be bothered, I'm taking notes for the absent yeoman.

OLD BUSINESS

Commodore's Ball and Spring Fling were a huge success.

It has been decided KYC will not be reselling rope or chain

NEW BUSINESS

There will be a work party at the KYC next Monday May 5th. Volunteers see Jim Stepchew. Free drinks! Grill around 1 - 2.

Thanks Jim for BarBoat, it's working great for this meeting!

SBM says rental sailboat fleet in best shape in years. New policy allows all day rental.

Check moorings!

Need volunteers for meeting cooks.
