The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on January 26, 2008 at 6:30pm

KYC Commodore, Ed Zehr:
Welcomed new members and guests.

Yeoman, Shaunna Fleming:
Reading of minutes of previous meeting was waived. They are available online.

Vice Commodore, Monte Junker:
Nothing to report at this time.

Purser, Nina Burnham:
$6900 in bank account. Biggest issue will be electric bill in near future.

Quartermaster, Jim Stepchew:
"I'm new here." If you have preferences of items for the fridge let Jim know.

Ship's Store Report, Richard Russell:
Nothing to report at this time.

Race Co-Chairs, Ed Zehr/Mike Turner:
There will be a race next Sunday, February 8, with a skipper's meeting at the SBM at 1 P.M.
Great race - 8 boats. Next race will be first of 2008 race season. If you have race results from last year not recorded, get them to Mike ASAP.

Cruise Chairman of the Month, Rick Goltz:
Feb 20th Nell trip. Go up to Nell with Voyager.

Sunfish, Tim Hall:
Nothing to report at this time.

Webmaster, Trace Fleming:
Nothing to report at this time.

OLD BUSINESS

1st annual Hangover Party Jan. 1 - good turnout.

NEW BUSINESS

Commodores Ball March 9th in MP room. Theme - under the sea. Need volunteers to decorate.

Send ideas for how to raise money to pay for electricity to Ed.

If you are planning on cruising, get the word out.

Make sure hose at Camp Hamilton is turned off.

New Eniwetak Conservation Area. Do not anchor near it.
