Commodore, Jim Stepchew:

Minutes from last meeting waved
Vice Commodore, Mark Long:
Mark reported ??? new members at present, with a membership drive in progress.
Purser, Denise DeCoster:
The bi-annual audit of our books is currently underway. Currently, the KYC’s account balance stands at $15,034.00. We have received $2,660.00 for memberships and $720 brought in from ticket sales (thus far) for the Commodore’s Ball.
Quartermaster, Michael Nast:
No Report.
Ship’s Store, Richard Russell:
No Report – off island
Race Chairman:
Last month’s race had 4 boats participating: 3 multi-hulls and 1 monohull.
Next race will be held on March 11th, skipper’s meeting will be at 1300
Cruise Chairman:
This upcoming weekend there will be a trip to Bigej, info on web site
OLD BUSINESS:
- Bi-annual audit of books will be happening.
- Membership drive/renewal is underway.
- Coconut Cup is March 24th.. See info on webpage.
- Coffee pot installed at the club. If you’ve been avoiding coming down to work at the club on weekends because of coffee, then avoid no more!!
- Work party on the 12th, thank you to everyone!
NEW BUSINESS:
- Commodore’s Ball is March 4th at the Yuk. We will be setting up on FRIDAY, March 2nd, starting at 6:00pm. There are still a few tickets available.
- Spring Break Music Festival and Chili Cook-Off will be announced. Rick Larkin will head-off the cook-off.
- Sunfish will be available for rides at the Spring Break Music Festival. We need resin for repairs. Volunteers are needed to help with both repairs and for manning the Sunfish at the SBMF.
- April 15th is grand opening of the beach, and will be tied with the SBMF.
- Membership dues are due!
- There is a usage fee for boats using the KYC lot. Please see the Commodore or Vice Commodore if you have questions.
- Another work party on March 18th.
- There is one Hobie cat up and running at the Small Boat Marina.
- Volunteers for next month’s dinner will be Mike Nast, Denise Dorn and Geary Shotts and it will be Mexican-themed.
