The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on November 25th, 2006 @ 6:30pm. 

KYC Commodore, Jim Stepchew:

Welcomed everyone, including visitors.

Yeoman, Denise Dorn:   

Reading of minutes from last meeting was waived as they are available in hard-copy and on the KYC website.

Vice Commodore, Mark Long.

Reported 183 members at present.

Ship’s Store: 

No report / not present

Race Chairman, Bruce Premo: 

Great Sunday race on Dec. 3, with a cookout afterwards, with 5 boats participating

Cruise Chairman, Mike Cheatham: 

No report / not present

Webmaster David Dethlefsen: 

No report / not present – currently off island with family awaiting arrival of newest KYC member.

OLD BUSINESS

2^nd Pier to be replaced by USAKA.  Monies were allocated from Quality of Life fund.

New officers for 2007 were announced by nominating committee:

• Purser, Denise DeCoster
• Quartermaster, Michael Nast

NEW BUSINESS

Discussed raising membership dues.

Parade of Lights to be held on December 17th. I f you would like to participate, contact Bruce. Should have approximately 5 - 6 boats.

Next month’s meeting will be Dec. 30 with pizza provided.  A Yankee gift exchange will be held. The gifts may be serious or a gag gift valued at $10.00-$15.00

Commodore’s Ball is coming up, Feb. 25. Committee will be formed to set everything up.
