The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on May 20^th, 2006, 7:00pm.

Welcome to new visitors, including the Ladd kids. Thank you to Denise Dorn-Spurlock for the meal.

Not present, however the burgees are here. One per member, please.

Race Chairman, Bruce Premo: 

The last race was on Mother’s Day, with 4 boats participating. Moonshine won. Next race will be June 5. Skipper’s meeting at 1:30.

Cruise Chairman, Mike Cheatham: 

Cruise to Torruji on April, with 3 boats going. It was a good time and lots of fun. Next trip will be to Nell on Memorial weekend, leaving Saturday, May 27^th and returning Tuesday, 30^th.

Webmaster, David Dethlefsen:

Looking for boats for sale? Check the website.  Looking to sell your boat? Provide the webmaster with a couple of pictures and the details and he’ll post it on the website.  The Coconut Cup photos are now on web site.

OLD BUSINESS

• Sunfish regatta will be held on June 11^th, 10:00am – 4:00pm.
• Still need people to come out and rig boats.
• Small boat marina has a Hobie Cats and 3 Lazers.
• Need skippers to take new people out for sailing excursions.
• Hotdogs, drinks and chips will be available.

NEW BUSINESS

• Thanks for donation for swimmers, $1000.00.
• A motion was made from the floor to investigate having the KYC purchase the sunfish that is advertised in the paper.  Bruce Premo will look into the condition of the boat and report back to the club.
• AC is deteriorating and we have a new one, which will be installed in S.W. window and back wall will be boarded and repaired.
