The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on March 18, 2006, 7:51 pm.
Commodore, Jim Stepchew:
Welcomed Yachtees and new members. Largest group of cruisers ever in at one time.
Yeoman, Denise Spurlock:
Reading of minutes for last meeting were waved, available on the website.
Vice Commodore, Mark Long:
Reported 140 members at this time with 8 lifetime members. Membership cards are available tonight
Purser, Denise Decoster:
Not present
Quartermaster Jeff Griswold:
Not present, however beer supply is good
Ship’s Store report:
Rich reported that a new order is on the way
Race Chairman, Bruce Premo:
Racing awards were presented at the Commodore’s Ball, with results from last month’s beer can race. Next race will be on Mon., April 3 at 1:30
Cruise Chairman, Mike Cheatham:
Reported on last month’s cruise to Nell, It was wonderful. This month to Majuro to participate in the Coconut Cup. We will have 2 boats going, Kailuana and
OLD BUSINESS

- We had a break-in at the club.

NEW BUSINESS
- Shed removal- be at Ed’s boat shack at 9 a.m. , coffee and donuts will be provided
- Thanks to Sarah, Denise and Tina for the Mexican dinner, next month will be Oriental by Cathy and Joel Madore
- Music festival April 2 with chili cook-off and pulled pork competition and 5 bands expected
- Passed out gifts to outgoing officers
- The cruisers would like to thank the KYC for their hospitality and generosity- Gizette Caldwell from Kipona
