Nancy Barge

The Kwajalein Yacht Club met on July 23rd, 2005 at 6:30pm.

Commodore, Ed Zehr:

• Meeting was called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Guests and new members were introduced.

Yeoman, Nancy Barge:

• Reading of minutes was waived.

Vice Commodore, Val Gower:

• 142 members in good standing

  .

Purser, Ann Hosti:

Ann was absent; Val Gower gave the report:

• Monies Received: $234 in new memberships, $2800 from Ship's Store

• Expenses Paid: $4000 for Jackstands

• Balance: ~$11,000

Quartermaster, Mike Nast:

• KYC still holding Thursday Happy Hour, but attendance is dwindling. Members are encouraged to attend.

Ship's Store Report:

• None

Race Chairman, Bruce Premo:

• Bruce was absent.

• Ed Zehr gave report. Last race, Rod Godfrey placed 1st and Mike Cheatham placed 2nd.

Cruise Chairman, Mike Turner:

• Mike was absent, no report was given.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Commodore requested volunteers for club clean-up on August 1st. Several members volunteered.

• 1x6 treated lumber that is being disposed of is free to interested club members.

NEW BUSINESS:

• None

Thanks were passed to Wendy and Garth for providing the fajita dinner. Farewell to long-time members, Tom and Maryanne Lane.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:15pm.
